Louis Coleman Chamberlain (1872-1948) was the eldest son of John Tate Chamberlain (1845-1919) and Martha Jane Kincheloe (1853-1033), of Burnet Co., TX. (John Tate himself was the second son of James T. Chamberlain and Sarah Runnels Barton, who had moved to TX from TN and MO.) In 1898, Louis C. m. Mary Alma Orgain (1874-1951) and they had 5 children, the first of whom apparently died in infancy. In the same year, he and his brother Jas. Hardee Chamberlain (1875-1963) purchased the "Burnet Bulletin" newspaper. Louis became the paper's editor and publisher, a job he held for some 44 yrs. He was also a school teacher. Among the countless news stories, features, and obituaries written by Louis over the yrs. for the "Bulletin," several obits are included below in the tentative chronology, which was based mainly on on-line sources.
