Searching for the ancestors of Christopher Columbus Shackleford

C. C. Shackleford b. 12/15/1820 Fredricksburg, VA d. 6/10/1877 Bedias, Grimes Co., Texas m. Parthenia Lucretial Peynghaus.

Parthenia b. 3/26/1824 d. 12/24/1901 Bedias, Grimes Co., Texas

CC and Parthenia Shackleford had only one known child, Sarah "Sally" Ellen Shackleford.
C.C., Parthenia, and Sarah Shackleford were found on the following Texas Census:

1850 - not found

1860-Burleson County,TX

1870-Grimes County,TX - CC and Parthenia in one household. Oscar and Sarah Ross in the next household

1880-Grimes County,TX - CC, Parthenia, Sally E., and Oscar S. Ross in one household. (Oscar died in 1876)

Sarah Ellen Shackleford b. 3/22/1851 d. 6/28/1911 Bedias, Grimes Co., Texas m. 8/23/1870 Oscar Gates Ross Grimes Co., Texas. Oscar and Sarah Ross had the following children:
1) Minor Thadeous Ross b. 9/4/1871 Walker Co., Texas d. 12/7/1942 Bryan, Brazos Co., Texas
2) Parthenia "Theeny" Arelia b. 7/28/1873
3) Oscar Shackleford Ross b. 11/3/1875 d. 8/11/1888

When Oscar Ross died in 1876, she married William Jesse Long. They had the following children:
1) Rafe
2) Sadie
3) Ada Elizabeth b. 3/4/1881
4) William Alva b. 3/6/1883
5) Jesse Carroll b. 12/5/1885
