Thank you for getting back with me on George W. Dean. In my line George W. Dean was born in SC, moved with parents & siblings to Attala County MS. In Attala Co. census of 1860 age was given as 17. This is the last census I have been able to locate him in. There was a George W. Dean in the census of 1890 Cherokee Nation, (Oklahoma area)age 30 with 4 in the household, arrival year 1889. This one is to young to be the one I am researching. Also a George W. Dean killed in Garvin County, Oklahoma March 24, 1906 burial at Maysville cemetary but the maker is under the name of Deen. In OK news obit, Feb., 1909, states that Mrs. E. Dean age 53 died that was the widow of G. Dean. It is possible that this is the G.W. Dean I am researching. But this is only specalation.
