I believe George W. Dean married my GG-grandmother, Annie Murphy Webb, after my GG-grandfather, Gray Webb, died. I have that he was born in Arkansas. Together they had Minerva, Horace and George W., Jr. (ages 6,4 and 1 in the 1880 census of Milam Co. Pct. #3). His step-children were Mary and Gray, Jr. (my G-grandfather). G.W. was 30 yrs old at this time; Annie 35. Annie is supposed to be buried in Smyrna Cem (7 miles SE of Rockdale), where Rev. D.H. Dean (1841-1918), Nancy E. Dean (1852-1939), are buried as well. However, I have that he was born in 1850, died in 1929, and his second wife was Sarah Ellen Holt Dean (1872-1946). I also have they are buried in Gause Cemertery.

FYI, this is just passed along info, taken from old letters and such. I haven't seen copies of records yet or anything. I hope this helps...
