Caroline E. Doyle of Clarke County Alabama
Posted by: Phil Doyle (ID *****0859) Date: July 16, 2011 at 07:45:58
  of 201

A Civil War widow, Caroline E. Doyle left Clarke county, Alabama along with six of her seven children, boarded a boat in Mobile headed for Galveston and, according to the 1870 census, settled in Burleson county for awhile. At the time of the 1880 census, Caroline lived with her daughter Susan E. (Doyle) Dawson and son-in-law Isaac H. Dawson in McLennan county, TX. Caroline died in 1908 in Iredell in Bosque county.

Caroline's children who remained in Texas were:
Jesse B. Doyle b. 1838 - 1840
Susan E. Dawson b. 1845 or 1846
Aaron B. Doyle b. 1849
Bartlett Doyle b. 1858
Thomas B. Doyle b. 1863

Any information on Caroline E. Doyle or her children would be greatly appreciated.
