I am Hattie Brown's gg granddaughter and my family cannot find anything about either of them; my great grandfather was orphaned as an infant after his mother died and he was raised by his sister Edith. We are all from Travis County; we have both of their birth certificates but it says (in there sons hand righting) they are Scot-Irish; is this true? Where did the Brown's come from? I know my grandmother (also named Edith Crooks) would love to know! We have a picture of them and we're not sure what to think.
Thanks
