I don't know if you have this so I thought I would send it in case you don't

1860 Titus co TX
E. Griffin (f) 45 TN
Martha 22 MS
Sarah 20 MS
Owen 17 MS
Susan 15 MS
Josaphine 11 MS
Thomas 9 MS
John 7 TX
E. (f) 5 TX
Lulu 3 TX

Next household is C.W. Beauchamp. I mention that because as you will see in the 1870 census Josephine is married to a Richard Beauchamp and Louisa (Lulu) is living with her. Thomas is in the next household with an Isabella Beauchamp. You may want to try to find what if any connection there was to the Beauchamp family.

1870 Titus co TX
Isabella Beauchamp 30 AL
James D. 9 TX
Nowell 8/12 TX
Thomas Griffin 19 MS farm laborer

previous household
Richard Beauchamp 29 TN
Josephine 21 MS
Amiretta 1 TX
Louisa Griffin 13 TX

John Griffin, 17 is in the household of William Mapp.

I wasn't able to find Thomas Griffin in 1880

1900 Brown co TX
Thomas H. Griffin Oct 1850, 49, md 26 yrs, MS NC KY
Mary J. Feb 1849, 50, 4 children/2 living TN AL KY
Charley Feb 1876, 24 TX MS TN
Emma G May 1882, 18 TX MS-

You may be able to find Thomas Griffin's parents names by requesting a copy of his death certificate from Texas Vital Records.

Best of luck in your search.
