Frie/Frye Pension Aplication

Ephraim V. Frye, Applicant, Company H, 6th Regiment, Kansas Calvary, declared an Invalid for Pension on December 31, 1890, at Thrifty, Brown County, Texas, age 65, held a prisoner at Taylor Texas, lost his hearing and left eye.
Ephraim's identity was verified by H. I. Frie and L. R. Frie of Thrifty, Brown County Texas, who had known Ephriam for 35 years.

Ephraim was born in Alabama or Tennessee and before 1890 lived in Arkansas and Missouri. I would like to learn who his parents and siblings were. Could the H. I. Frie and L. R. Frie be brothers or cousins? This is the only record I have of him in Texas.
