Charles and Mary lived in Brown County and are buried in Ebony Cemetery there as well.. Charles was born in 1848, possibly in Texas and Mary born in 1854 at Fort Belknap, Young County, Texas. She was the daughter of Archilus RATLIFF and Lucinda ANDERSON, Arch seen spelled many way.. most common:
He was also rumored to have been nick named POLK.

Siblings of MARY's were:
Henry Gilford Ratliff
Philip Thompson Ratliff
Nancy Elizabeth Ratliff
Lora D. Ratliff
William Archilus RATLIFF
Benjamin Edgar RATLIFF
and Virginia L. RATLIFF
all born by Feb. 1880.

We have some information on the RATLIFF family but the WELCH family lines are unknown. Charles seems to have popped in but from where? in Texas, not from Texas?
would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have an associate to this line in any way, or some clues about Charles and his ancestors or other places to look for him.
