Hello, I am researching a branch of my Harris family that lived in the Houston Texas Area. Recently, I got the obituary of one of them that mentioned a previously unknown son. It said his name was Raymond Harris of San Francisco. My first thought was San Francisco California but then I looked at the way the obituary was written. In just about obituary I have seen, if a person is living out of State, it will list the state even if the person lives in a big well known city. It did not do this in this case, It simply said, Raymond Harris of San Francisco. So I checked and found a San Francisco Texas in Brewster County near the boarder with Mexico and Terrell County Texas. Now from Google Earth this town looks tiny and I feel that this obituary probably is talking about San Fransisco California but I thought this would at least be worth looking into.
What do I know about Raymond??? Not much, what I do know came from his obituary. He was born no earlier than 1927 so he could still be living somewhere. He was also living in San Francisco when his mother died in Sept of 1958. I am just trying to eliminate the town of San Francisco Texas. Any help would be appreciated.
