When you said he walked to Dallas to be with older brother Gus, I thought you meant his older brother, so I went looking for the brother also born in England. After a bit I figured out it was Gus his son. And found them on the 1900 census.

DC for the son Gus will give you maiden name for wife of Thomas who was born in England.

You didn't say what you're actually looking for, but if it's the death and burial of Thomas (b Eng) I would check the Grove Hill Cemetery where his son was buried.
