I am curious why you labeled your message Herndon. I am trying to learn more about the Herndon family. There is a Winefred Herndon buried in the Thompson Creek Cemetery there in Brazos County and I'd like to make contact with anyone who knows more about her family. Also in the Thompson Creek Cemetery is the tombstone of a Mrs. Elizabeth Smith b. 3/26/1845 d. 7/13/1902 (says daughter of Mrs. Winefred Herndon) I saw on the Brazos County birth records that there were some folks named Earnest Harndon and Sherlen O'Neil that had a child in 1932 (Willie James Hearndon) Also a Willie Mae Herndon and an Edward Douglas who had a son named Henry Shelton Douglas b/ 1941 (and other children). Then on the Robertson Co., marriage records I found a L.F. Herndon and a Mrs. Mary Ellen Cligne m. 5/1/1869 and a Mary Herndon m. Bob Whitman 11/5/1869. I am trying to learn as much as I can about each person buried in the Thompson Creek Cemetery as my husband's great-grandparents, James Henry Sikes and Sarah Elizabeth Plummer Sikes were buried there also. Please let me know what you know about Herndon's in Texas. Thanks!
