According to family history, Mrs WA Banks would put lanterns out on their porch on Sunday nights for the "boys" to find their way from the train to the campus. I am having pictures of W.A. and Mrs Banks restored. One picture of A. L. Banks in a uniform is in excellent condition---it had been stored away in the original folder for atleast the last 60 years. I recently found it in a box of old family papers.
Thanks for the information you sent. I'll be looking for the articles to include in my research. I'll check out the census this evening. Pat Bresie
