Dear Emily,

There is a Ricky Armstrong in Blount County, Ala. rahaydenala@aol.com he is our line and has sent me a copy of the histry he has compiled and would be glad to send you a copy, but you should talk to him. He is closer in your line, I believe from the John you speak of. Thomas Asa married his first cousin Lucy Viola Armstrong daughter of John Armstrong and Adaline Frances Hardwick on Nov. 11,1867. at springville, St. Clair Co. Ala. He died in Scurry Co. Tx. May 29, 1911 and is buried in the Pyron, Cemetary near Hermleigh, Texas. Thomas Asa and his brother Archelous, at age 19 enlisted in the U.S. Army Nov. 1, 1863 at Nashville, Tenn. in Co. D, 12th Regt. of the Tenn. Cavalry. Appointed to the rank of Corp. Jan. 30,1864. In 1865 he was in the hospital at Benton Barracks, Mo. and transfered to the Marine General Hospital in St, Louis, Mo. on Oct. 7, 1865. It contains more info... Children listed are; Feebie Jane, Etta A., Rebecca D., Timothy Barnibus, George Lee, Jesse marvin, Riley Warson, James Gordon, Ira Em, Willis F. Sherman. He states spouses also. Thomas Asa is from Thomas G. and Thomas G. is From James and Sarah. this is where we connect I am from James and Sarah who had William C. who then had Burl Green who had Lucy Ann, she and her father are buried in Fairfield, Texas. The name Burl Green is from the Hardwick line after Garland Burwell Green. Hope this doesn't confuse matters. Ricky's notes are quite clear and I think he would be interested in the will of John. And he is adding to this book and would like all updated information. He has been kind to give all past info he has researched. Also Norma is from Thomas Asa and I believe she is still in Texas also. Lucy
