I concur with your research on the White family of Bowie County. I am a grandson of Leo L. White of Maud and my research verifies that Elias White did move to Bowie County in 1846 and was the son of Robert White. I have visited Robert's grave in Union County, S.C. and it indicates his birth in 1743 and death in 1843, 100 years and 9 days old.
