Grandpa Alec ( Robrt Alexander ) was born sometime in February in a colony of settlers at a place called Solomon's nose. Somteime around 1870-188o. The colony failed and the settlers scattered to other parts of Texas. My great great grandpa "Solomon" stayed and was murdered by a half breed indian (who was later lynched by a mob for killing my ancestor} for taking a drink of water out of his creek or well.
