I am trying to find my 2nd g-gm, Martha Ophelia SPEER'S parents. John W. SPEER & wife Elizabeth L. are in 1880 Census of Blanco Co, TX & have the following children: Harry (Harvey?); Mattie O., age 19 (possibly the Martha O. I am looking for); Maggie L.; Joe A; Thomas M.; John R.; Mary F; James E, and father-in-law John H. ALLEY. Can anyone give me more information on this SPEER family? Does this SPEER family have any connections to Upshur Co, TX? Particularly, did this Martha O. SPEER marry Thomas A. JOHNSON & later relocate to Upshur County? Any information about this family that might be helpful would be greatly appreciated.
