I am searching for descendants of Judge Isaiah Martin who died in Uvalde County after a long and distinguished service as Judge of the 38th State District Court in San Antonio, Bexar County, TX and later practiced law in Uvalde County.
Judge Martin was the son of AG Martin who served as Uvalde County Clerk for many years before 1900...and the grandson of Emanuel Henry Martin of Alachua County FL.
In an article from "A PROUD HERITAGE, History of Uvalde County Tx" which was published in 1975 by El Progresso Club, the surnames Black, Glover, Hagen, Harris, Kennedy, Speir, and White are listed as the In-laws of his offspring.
In addition son, IL Martin Jr & his sons, Joseph Black Martin & Richard E. Martin, plus son, Frank Jones Martin & his son, Kenneth Martin, are listed. It is likely that many of these have passed on; however, I am trying to locate a male who carries the Martin surname for genealogical DNA identification purposes. It is hoped that at least one of these folk would still have male children in the area, or know where their "cousins" could be contacted.
Any help is appreciated.
