Interesting information. I was told that Jan Jakob Andersson died in Gogebic County, Michigan on 4/4/1887. He doesn't appear to be listed in the Michigan death index. I checked with the county, and they didn't have an obituary. Now that I think about it, I should have asked if they had any information on a mine accident on that date - he was an iron miner.
Thanks for that, now I know that Lisa Kajsa was back in Sweden by 1890.
