I am a direct descendant of the Lux/Morgan/Smith/Glass' -
it's a mixed bag when it comes to the Morgans. However, I believe you are talking about Ella Young's mother perhaps - I'm not real sure.

However, I can tell you that if you have connections on the Smith side - you're in for quite a search.

One thing to note is that my grandmother Nell Morgan's mom Josephine A. Owens husband died. It appears that since Josephine remarried in 1877 to a John W. Smith, that he may have actually been the father of my grandmother rather than John Morgan (get's confusing at best)-

I used to go to East Texas to the family reunions with Ella Young, Ophie Yoes, Amanda Jackson, along with my mom, grandma and a few aunts until they started dwindling off -

Sadly, I haven't see any of those folks since the early 90s, an most have since passed -

I was always confused about the Young/Yoes/Morgan connection as well - So, if you find any other details, please let me know..

I hope you have made progress with your research but if I can help in anyway I'm also happy to do so -

Cheers from NorCal *
