My gf JOSEPH FRANKLIN HULSEY was committed by the court to San Antonio State Hospital in 1921. He lived there until his death in 1947. His hospital record says he was manic depressive, a treatable disease today. I'm trying to find out as much as I can about his trial and commitment, and spoke and wrote to the Jones County Judge. He promised to find the file and send me whatever was there, but, it has been months and I haven't gotten anything. I know the file is there, because a clerk said it was but she couldn't release it on her own. JOE HULSEY was an enigmatic figure, and his life intrigues me. We just learned in 1995 where he had been, so he was quite a mystery for many years. Thanks for your interest and help. Sherry
