Stockton Family Cemetery Association

The caretakers of the Stockton Cemetery in Bartlett County, Texas have become ill and are no longer able to take care of the cemetery. Several cousins are working to set up a support association to manage the care and support of the cemetery.

Anyone descended from Douglas Hayden Stockton (1836-1920) and Mary Elizabeth White (1842-1916) or their spouses are eligible for burial in the cemetery. This property was deeded to their children and their descendants by D. H. and Mary Stockton in 1904. This was reaffirmed by deed from J. K. and Ada Knight in 1949.

The property was declared a state historical site in 1993.

The initial organizational meeting is scheduled for Jun 11, 2011 at 11 am at the County Line at the Lake restaurant in Austin, Texas. If you wish to attend please send a message to Guy Perry at someguy@prismnet.com so that we can adjust the reservation.

There is also a Facebook group called DH Stockton Descendants that you can use to track our progress or add comments or suggestions.
