Searching for information on the Swarts family listed in the 1860 census. Father Val b. c 1820 Penn; wife Ruth A. born c 1821 Ala; daughter Bridget born 1858 Texas.
believe this is the same family listed on the refugio County census for 1870 but wife and daughter are missing. A son,Henry, was born about this time. Perhaps Ruth and oldest daughter were visiting relatives. Her maiden name I believe is FOX.
