Ross, My greatgrandfather, William F. Slaughter, died in
Honey Creek in Jan.31, 1911. He married Anna Augusta Theodosia Bissett in Lavaca Co., Tx. in Feb. 1881. Their daughter Eliza Delroy Slaughter married Daniel Pierce,
my grandfather, in Aug. 8, 1908. After Daniel died in 1918, Eliza Delroy Pierce married Edward Clark in 1921 in Kerrville, Tx. There may have been a Bessent Family in or around Honey Creek around the same time. George Pierce
