In particular the John A. Jones/Mahala Capps line from Bandera County, Texas ... their daughter Margaret Jones married Tom Stevens ... their daughter Avalina (Ava Lena var. sp) married Fletcher Cravey ... all in Bandera County, .... my grandmother Viola Ray Cravey was their daughter ... she married Albert David Williams ... their son Morris Joseph Williams was my father ... seems as though the Jones and Capps migrated through TN, Ky, IL, MO, AR then to TX ... the Jones and Stevens intermarried (five Jones siblings married 5 Stevens siblings) ... I don't have a lot on Tom Stevens ... also would like to know if Jones featured in Slicker War commentary re Benton Co MO is same Jones family ... since my research indicates one of my Jones forebears family was born in Benton Co MO about the same time as the Slicker War ... see http://www.legendsofamerica.com/mo-slickerwar.html ... dmw
