You didn't give any details on these people found on the 1880 census, so I went looking. I found Jefferson, his wife, mother and sister, but no child.

Now, with ages for these people I was able to track the family back on census records, to 1850 in Polk Co, TX when the father was still alive, William Walker 38, b AL. On the 1860 Polk Co, TX census Lucinda is a widow and youngest child is six months old, so William died prior to that 1860 census.

Go to Rootsweb's WorldConnect site -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- Type in Walker, Jefferson, father William, mother Lucinda. A couple of people are working on this line and take the Walker line back a ways. Get sources so you can check for accuracy. Neither show children for Jefferson and Catherine, so you can share what you have, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
