Cousin, you are in luck !

William Jasper Miller was a child of James A Miller. He was born 1829, and died October 26, 1912 in Bexar County, Texas. He married Catherine Wright February 24, 1857 in Bexar County, Texas.
His burial was October 1912, Old Rock Church Cemetery, Somerset, Tx along with his wife Catherine.

The Census of 1850 shows William Jasper in Smith Co. Ms. with his parents.
He did military service after 1860, with the 5th Texas Cavalry and 36th Texas Cavalry, Co I.

Children of William Miller and Catherine Wright are:
Robert E. Miller, b. 1858; m. Miranda Fulks, June 26, 1881, Atascosa County, Texas.
Jefferson Davis Miller, b. April 18, 1860, Old Somerset, Atascosa Cty, Texas; d. 1934, Somerset, Atascosa County, Texas.
Fannie M. Miller, b. 1866, Tx; d. March 31, 1906.
Nannie M. Miller, b. 1866; m. (1) Lawson; M. (2) Reed.
Mary Miller, b. October 23, 1870; d. April 29, 1954; m. (1) Bartholomew McConnell, October 06, 1890, Atascosa County, Texas; m. (2) Wade McVea, May 29, 1895, Atascosa County, Texas.
Guy A. Miller, b. 1874, Tx; d. 1898, Old Rock Church Cemetery, Somerset, Tx. Died of Typhoid

Now this group lived around Somerset, just south of Benton City. Benton City became a ghost town and Lytle is near by.

My line is through a brother of Jasper...Arnold Green Miller who married Margarit C. Byrom. They also lived near Somerset.

What else can I tell you ?

Tom Fannin
