How absolutely wonderful!!! William Cecil Turner died in Januaary 1939 at the home of his son, William Ernest Turner in Conroe. Known in the family as Uncle Will and Uncle Curley.
I remember when he died as my grandfather, Lue Turner, came to our house in Conroe and told my mother if she wanted to see her grandfather before he died she had better come. We went that evening. I am not sure she got there in time as all I remember is that he had passed away and we were all gathered around the bed. I had just turned 4 years old in October.
I appreciate any photos you can share. The only one I have is of my great grandmother, Emily Jane. It is a small one about 3 x 5. Barbara has a very large copy of this photo that she said belonged to her grandfather William Ernest.
Did you ever meet any of these people?
