I'm looking for information in a John Calvin Walker born between 1839 and 1865 in NC or TX.John told his family this Story. He was born in NC but he and his brother were put up for adoption after his father had gone to get lumber and the raft and lumber were found with arrows in it and his father was never seen again.John's mother couldn't take care of the farm and the boys so she gave them up for adoption.Later they were adopted as indentured servants by a plantation owner. The owner ordered a black slave to tie their hands above their heads and beat them every night.John swore one day he would be old enough and he would kill the owner and slave and according to him he did just that and burned the plantation to the ground.John and his brother(John called him Blunt)ran.John moved to Texas, his brother we have no idea.John lied alot about his birth year and place afraid if being arrested.I know who his children are by Emma SMith whom he married in 1891..their children are Lillie and Linnie who were twins, James C, Henderson,Edgar, and M D ,and I have the census records for 1910,1920.IF anyone out there has any information Please contact me....... thanks
