Hi,

Have you contacted Anderson County Clerk's office, www.co.anderson.tx.us/County_Offices/County_Clerk/ to find out how far back their death records go? they also birth, marriage and military discharge records.

Anderson County records are available on microfilm from the Sam Houston State University, www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/local/anderson.html. You can't borrow the film but you can go to your local library and ask them to do so via inter-library transfer. There generally is no fee unless you live in Oregon.

There are a couple of web sites which list indexed cemeteries in Anderson Co. There are 254 cemeteries in the county and they're not all indexed.

www.usgwarchives.net/tx/anderson/cemetery.html
www.etgs.org/txanderson/cemeteries.html

Also the East Texas Genealogical Society, www.egs.org/ covers Anderson Co. They do research and have a family file that lists names of folks they have information about. Successful Searching!
