There is a slave on the Anderson County, TX 1850 slave schedule that would fit Martha Jackson- owned by Robert T. Jackson- but I can't tell if it's her or not

1850 census, Anderson, Texas
Robert T Jackson 27 VA
Mary J Jackson 23 TN
Margarett S Jackson 4 TN

So that's probably where Martha came from. He is Robert Tucker Jackson and she is Mary J Bruce.

Stories of former slaves who became land owners
abstracted
By 1917, the largest land owner in the Cuney country was a black banker in Palestine, Henry L. Price. Mr. Price re-titled the town for his late son, Cuney Price, who in turn had been named for a black Republican party boss in Texas in the late 19th century, Norris Wright Cuney, a Galveston lawyer.

Same with Alex, there's a black male on the 1860 census owned by J M Swenson, but I can't tell if its him0
