Blackfoot or Black Post?
Posted by: Janie Davis (ID *****9693) Date: July 13, 2003 at 15:14:52

I have a copy of my grandfather's obituary stating that he was born in "Black Post"in 1896. Since he grew up, etc. in the Anderson County (Frankston, Brushy Creek) area, I feel sure it is probably "Blackfoot". Can anyone tell me exactly where Blackfoot was? Is anything still there?

His name was Artist Ingram Cook, son of Warner Earl and Frances Elizabeth Thomas Cook. His father is buried at Old Bethel Cemetery.
