Bowles, Crawford, DeBard and Sims in Palestine, 1880

In the 1880 census, my gggrandmother, Martha WHITE BOWLES was living with her daughter, Fannie A. STOUTSENBERGER and their children. Martha bought the property she was living on from E. J. DEBARD. In 1881 she sold it to N. A. SIMS.
Four houses away, J. CRAWFORD, a dry goods merchant lived with his children. I suspect that a Crawford might be connected to my Bowles tree, but I'm not sure how.
Any information on any of these families would be welcome.
