John Rosson, Elender "Nellie" Douthit

Hi. I'm a *very* amateur geneologist, and have been trying to find out where my line of Rossons came from originally (I've found many in France and the UK from the mid-1700's, but can't link my line to them directly). The farthest back I've been able to find so far is John Rosson, father of James Calvin Rosson and husband of Elender "Nellie" Douthit, born in 1790, died (1858?) in Anderson County, TX. I've yet to talk to the Douthit's main geneologist, and she might have some information, but if anyone here has info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
