Jonathan:Thanks for your reply. I have ref to 2 Twombly - Hurd marriages. William (b 1717) m Anna Hurd. Also, John (b 1755, son of Wm) m Mary Heard. I assume these 2 spellings are variants of the same name. I just got ref to a Twombly genealogy book: "A Genealogy and a History of the Twomley (Twombly) Family in Canada and the United States, Especially in the New Englnd States." It is by John Felch Twombly, publ in Aiken, SC in 1987 by the author. Maybe it will give me Benj. H. Twombly's parents.
