I'm not sure how far this subject has gone in developing information but I have some additional input which may help. From records I have read, the first Twitty to show up in records was a "Young" Twitty registered at a Virginia church. This person could have been Thomas Twitty as this particular name shows up later in the same records. If it is one in the same person, he had two sons, names I cannot remember. In my own family, my great great grandfather (name not known) traveled from North Carolina to Texas and on the return trip settled in Blanch, Tennessee. My great grandfather was Pinkney Alfonzo (PA) Twitty, my grandfather was Whit Hall Twitty and my father, Gramont Darwin Twitty. I do know that some Twitty women from this branch married Tucker (Fana Twitty), Rawlins and Puckett. Hope this helps in tying ends together.
