I am looking for a J. Twiss who resided in Port Huron, MI i the late 1860's. I am not related, I am researching the Welkin Base Ball Club of Port Huron, the city's first base ball club. I beleive it might be John Twill, born in Ireland in 1840 & moved to Port Huron in 1848. He married Adelade King and had 6 children: Lilly, Edward, Willie, May, Addie and Pearl.
