Sorry not to have replied sooner. If your great grandfather appears in London in 1830 do you know if he had children with him? How did you find this out. The 1841 census has recently gone on line as has the 1851 but there is no guarantee that they will be on it.

Jane was married in 1846 in Kerry and was in London by the time her son Michael was born in 1853. Could it be that her father was the reason that the couple took the perilous journey from the West of Ireland to the East End of London. Most likely there would have been locla or family people in that part of London. The place was packed with Irish fleeing the famine.
