J. A. is James Almerine Tweedy, son of Phoebe Susan (Carter) and Hugh Tweedy. He was born December 6, 1835 in Cumberland County, Kentucky and died April 23, 1911 in Putman County, Florida. He married Mary Ann West November 3, 1867 in Warrick County, Indiana but they divorced.

Have no Joshua Tweedy in my records. These Tweedys came from English thru Pennsylvania, Virginia and into Kentucky.

Have you looked at the book "No Alpha, no Omega"? It has a different Tweedy family than mine.
