Another Tucciarone! Wow.. never thought I'd see the day.I know little about the Tucciarones in Minturno, but do know that my Grandpa, Giuseppe Tucciarone (aka "Joe Tucher" after he went through Ellis Island) was born in Minturno in September, 1882. He came to America in 1906 and worked on the railroad here til the end of his life. In Italy, he was a shepherd and could look out and see Mt Vesuvius while he was watching his sheep. I was told the Tucciarones had a butcher shop 'in town', but can't say how reliable this information is.
The information I have says that Grandpa'sparent's names were Anthony (Antonio?) Tucciarone and 'Teresa' (last name before marriage unknown). Aside from my Grandpa, they had a daughter, Lucia, and other kids whose names I don't know.
If you have any good Tucciarone info, let me in on it! Til then, if you go to www.google.com and type in 'Minturno', all kinds of good things will pop up. Minturno is filled with beautiful things from antiquity -- old churches, archaeological stuff... I've never been there, but would love to go.
