I am not a descendent of either man. However, I have a bottle embossed with "FENN & TUTTLE" and wish to date the bottle and identify the actual Tuttle whose name is on the bottle.
You indicate that Henry and Tuttle are partners of Francis Fenn. How do you source that information? My Bottle once contained Dr Boyce's Tonic Bitters, and was manufactured in Rutland. The Boyce Brand was sold by Francis Fenn (b1832) to Henry &Co in 1867 and manufacturing was moved to Henry& Co in Waterbury Vermont soon thereafter.
In a Rutland City Directory 1884-1885, Mrs Francis Fenn is a widow, her adopted son Frederick Francis Fenn is a druggist located at 13 Centre Street.
In a Rutland City Directory, 1889-1890, Egbert C Tuttle (b1849) is the Treasurer of the Tuttle Co, located at 11-15 Center Street, but his older brother Harley C. Tuttle is the President.
