Hi Eric,
I'm glad the information helped you in your quest. Unfortunately, the Tuttle/Tuthill book does not have a lot of biographical information in it.
I might suggest contacting the Mattituck Historical Society to see if they could shed some light on your query about your grandfather and grandmother. If they don't have any info maybe they could find someone from around the Mattituck area who does. It sounds as if this baseball team may have come from an area in Mattituck that was known as 'Tuthill Town', this because of the large population of Tuthills in this part of town.

The grandparents of Anna Tuthill Symmes, the wife of President William Henry Harrison, are buried in the churchyard of the Mattituck Presbyterian Church. If I remember correctly, I think their names were Henry and Phebe. I think this Henry was the grandson of Henry the Pilgrim if my memory serves me right
If you need any additional info, feel free to contact me: [email protected].
Good luck in your research!
Bob
