Just to let you guys know that our CD "The Tuten Family in North America" is YOUR family genealogy too and anything you may find on that CD that you disagree with will be noted and changed accordingly.
You are an integral part of the team that puts the information in the database. The way Andy Ricard and I have built this database is through extensive research from all known sources of the Tuten family history. We have compiled the work of hundreds of people into this huge collection. We think we have perhaps the most comprehensive data to date. Feel welcome to add data on well thought out speculation...as their may never be found any supporting documentation to substantiate your findings. This way your thoughts and the most data is saved and shared in a larger database rather than put in some filed notes somewhere and perhaps never seen again although those thoughts and notes are right on the money.
We have found and corrected many errors in the original "Blue Book" of Allen Vernon Tuten and Mary Kettus Holland as well as the work done by Bruce Tuten as discovered documentation changes the information we have. So speculation is not and has not been restricted from the very beginnings of the Tuten genealogy base. Very recently we changed the husband of Cynthia Tuten (a main branch) in the database to Isaac Tuten from Richard Tuten based on the finding of Evelyn Joyce who found a probated land document where it stated Richard was married to a "Millie". You may also know that Richard's name has been changed from Richard Simon to just Richard as we found that Simon was another person altogether.
As far back as the Dr. Tuten's research, and even mentioned by Bruce Tuten....we had suspected that perhaps Richard was not Cynthia's husband...our find proved it! Other SC archive documents show where Isaac is involved in purchases on the property that Cynthia and sons lived on. We discovered Isaac Tuten Jr. in Hamilton County Florida in 1860 as well as in SC earlier. He is also found in SC dealing in land transactions on the same land as Isaac Tuten Sr. His being a junior makes it obvious that he is the son of Isaac. His being in Hamilton County Florida makes it undeniable that he is related to the sons of Cynthia and compeling that he is a son himself. Speculative to the nature of their actual relationship SURE, but the findings are too convincing to ignore. We therefore added Isaac SR. as husband to Cynthia, and Isaac Jr as a another son based on very convincing "probability". We are closing in on the discovery of another son of Cynthia named Redden W. Tuten, who was discovered in Eureka Fla. He had close connections to Rachel's son Patrick Howell Tuten.
