Looking for the husband of Rachel. She was with her husband in Beaufort District S.C. St Lukes Parrish, Hampton County, Robertville S.C. prior to 1840. She lists her children in her will as; Hampton, William Robert, Joseph M., Patrick Howell, Rigdon B., Harley McLoyd, Pierce M., and Mary Escella Tuten McAlpin.

We know that her husband was a close relation to Cybthia and Richard Simon Tuten. Probably brothers, but to date there has been no connection.

Speculation has stated that she was married to Thomas Tuten or possibly to a William. Richard Simon Tuten's parents were William and Jemina Mae Tuten.
