Hello Michael,
I had a feeling that the name Tuten orginated from UK. My cousin Elizabeth once told me that she heard a rumor that when the Tuten's came here from England that there were three brothers. One went to NC, SC and GA. My feeling is that the name Tuten was origally spelled T-U-T-T-O-N. Later one of the T's was dropped as was the O in the name Tuten. Have a great day. Talk to you later.
