Hello Daniel,
I am not sure where the name Tuten orginally came from. But in my family the Tuten's came from England. The rumor is that there was three brothers on came on a ship from England. One went to North Carolina, another went to South Carolina and another went to GA. That is all I really know. I have been trying to research my family tree on the Tuten. I have gotten as far as Thomas Tuten born 1740 in Beaufort County, NC. Have a great day. Talk to you later.

Richmond, VA
