Hello! I have been piecing together the Tuten family line, and you might be part of the family. My G-Grandfather's name was John Wesley Tuten, born 1854. His parents were William (b. abt 1830) and Juliann Tuten. The family lived in Decatur County (Decaturville) TN for many years. William's father's name was Obediah Tuten b. abt 1792, possibly in North Carolina. One of Obediah's son's was named George W., b. abt 1833. The family might have lived in Alabama and/or Georgia for a while, and then some of them moved to Decatur Co, TN., where my line lived into the 1900's. Some of the descendants still live there today. There was also a BENNETT family that lived nearby. An Esther Lee TUTEN married Smith BENNETT in the 1930's. Your family may be descended from Obediah TUTEN. What other information do you have on your TUTEN ancestors? Will be most happy to share anything else I know or can find out. Thanks & good luck. Robina
