Hello, Cousin Tony.
I have not had any communication with Bruce. I do wish I'd found YOU when we visited Jasper this April. My grandmother, Stella Virginia Bell (age 93) is the granddaughter of Thomas Nathaniel Bell and Ellen Arrhetta Tuten, both of Jasper. I haven't located Redden J. Tuten or his wife Martha ? and do not know about Cynthia or Rachel . . . please do tell what you know of how our Tuten ancestry is shared.

Are the names Ellen Arrhetta Tuten or Redden J. Tuten already known to you? And do you know if it's true that Redden and his wife Martha both died of fever and left their daughter to be raised by Redden's brother John and his wife Lacy Bell? It is our oral history, but I'm not finding any documents to confirm this, since I'm not sure where Redden and Martha lived after Ellen Arrhetta was born.

Jasper certainly is a beautiful area. I can see why our people remained there for so long.
