Commissioned or enlisted Jan. 27, 1776. Time in service 1 m. 3 D. Time of subsistence 4 W. 6 D. etc. Remarks: Deserted 1 March. D. ? Davis, Copyist

Note: MBG: I don't know the identify of this Jacob Tussey.
If these two Jacob Tusseys are the same person, even thought he deserted the Army in 1776, he signed the Oath of Allegience in February 1777 at a later date. When he was listed as being deserted from the Army in 1776, he might have gone home to take care of the garden or some other family matter.
