Thank you--that makes more sense---I DID realize that records posted to the IGI cannot be trusted--whoever posted the 1822 Joseph must have been confused---also there is info out there that Jacob and Jane married between 1785 and 1790--so that needs to be corrected too. Speaking of the 1822 Joseph, since the heirs of Jacob Tussey transferred land in 1811--it probably would have been pretty hard for him to have a son born in 1822...
Anyway, thank you for answering and clearing that up.
